The world stands in need........

"The world stands in need of liberation my Lord
it still has to learn to love
the dumb and the deaf
the blind and the lame
all need to feel your healing touch.

There are those who have eyes who refuse to see
there inhumanity to men
there are those who have ears who refuse to hear
the cries of men in agony.

There are those who have mouths who refuse to speak
against injustice done to men.
There are those who have hands who refuse
to reach them out in love and brotherhood.

There are those who have talents..they do
not use to build a true community.
and we all know that we have the
talent to love but keep it buried in ourselves
."

This is not my piece of work.......

But has surely inspired me....... am sharing it with all of you....

Don't you think we need to take more steps in our life to help the needy?

That's a wonderful quote you shared with us.

I agree we as humans have become very selfish and tend to think only about our families or ourselves. Not many would care about helping a random being...and that's a sad reality of life.

I hope we learn to understand what is important and make this world a better place someday, for all of us.

true...but it's really not their fault. cos there's always someone out there who doesn't wanna LOVE too! SADLY.

Keshi.

Pity things come to that. C'est la vie!

Peace.

Yes, I agree with you Priya. We should use our God given talents to glorify the Lord and minister to the needs of others. Then our talents are not wasted. Thanks for the exquisite poem. God bless you always.

yup! of course, we need to help them, but I would say, rather than doing charity work,it would be better if we could give them some opportunities so that they will feel they have earned the food rather than requesting for someone's mercy.

Actually it goes like this.....

The world stands in need of liberation, my Lord.
It still has to feel your power,
The blind and the deaf
The dumb and the lame
all need to feel your healing touch.
The world stands in need of liberation, my Lord.
It still has to feel your power,

There are those who have eyes but refuse to see
there inhumanity to men
there are those who have ears but refuse to hear
the cries of men in agony.

The world stands in need of liberation my Lord
it still has to learn to love
There are those who have mouths but refuse to speak
against injustice done to men.
There are those who have hands but refuse
to reach them out in love and brotherhood.
The world stands in need of liberation my Lord
it still has to learn to love

There are those who have talents, they do
not use to build a true community.
and we all know that we have the
talent to love but keep it buried in ourselves.

Priya

Nice to open tbe discussion; More often we point at others and say that they do not do it; How about us? Are we doing it?

The last verse on 'talents' seems to be a new addition. It is good.

Does anybody have an idea as to who wrote the song?

Is the song available in vocal form on the net

I have found site which offer to dramatically increase traffic to your website http://mass-backlinks.com they claim they managed to get close to 4000 visitors/day using their services you could also get lot more targeted traffic from search engines as you have now. I used their services and got significantly more visitors to my website.
