No Civic Sense

While walking on the road one day I saw that a lot of dirt is dumped here and there. I thought the municipality department is careless but as this thought was going through my mind I saw a lady coming out of her house with a bag of dirt and what she did you know she put it in front of some other house. Now the thing is her house is clean now but it is at the cost of some other's dirty house. Can't she think the same for the other house as she thinks for hers. Here is where civic sense comes into the picture. People don't have it in India. Its just awful

Hey, thanks for the comment. Anyway I'm way too old for sleeping with Harry books :), Certainly it's my favourite, but I'm not that crazy...

---civic sense??
Well, Indians are born and brought up mostly in such situations, right? So, let's hope things may change in the future, may be we could teach our kids and their generation all those sense...:)

I wish more people write blogs like you do. I would say that the mistake most of us do is to keep quiet about all this and let things be as they are. There is much complacency.

There is also much cynicism. Most people tend to blame others rather than constructively create awareness.

I am of opinion that you have done a good thing by writing about this. If everyone did some (however small) to create awareness against lack of civic sense, I think things will change.

But then...the cynics seem so right so many times!

yes they dont have it in india... the same person if outside india will be going according to the rules and regulations of that country... and the same people will blame others of not doing their civic duties... its a shame on indian... bt who are to blame otherthan us... who doesnt take a step to change these...
