Why this difference...........

This post is on something which I have gone through. I really don't know about the other places but the place I lived in has this peculiar behavior.
Now comes the experience part....... actually its not just one single experience.
When I was small that means 9-14 years whenever I went to a shop if that person is an acquaintance then he would talk to me call me gudiya(doll) and all that.
This used to happen always. But when I grew up and became some 15 16 yrs old the same person doesn't even talk to me. Now here I would like to say i surely don't want him to call me gudiya. But he can be as free as before. No, its not that I crave for attention its just that I feel no need to accept the unnecessary change.
I really think that's awful to behave differently with someone just because of age.
Then what I just used to sit there talking to my parents. Now another thing is the girls who have a habit of talking so much are labeled characterless girls.Huh! I really don't get that how can someone be characterless( that type) just because of talking to someone.
All these things which is because of the dire inquisitiveness of the society and as I always say If society accepts then all will be accepted. Don't you think some rules of the society are really stopping it from reaching the sky and rather pulling it down to the deep depth.
Don't you think so?

people dont call gal who taks to boys characterless ...that's not completely true..the situation arises only wen the gal is seen migling with more then one guy...dont say its friendship..if its friendship the situation does not arise for people to give names...

as per the first one ..wen the gal comes to teenage ..outers start treatig her with respect..all gals r not cool..if u try being friendly in the age of 9-14 they believe in friendship..but in the age of 15 -18 they start thinkin guys r trying to flirt...the mindset of both sides r diff in thinkin so people stop callin u wat they used to before...and start respecting..

Iam sort of on the same line as what Hemanth said. I think they try and show their respect as well as to avoid unnecessary talks/rumours in the society! :)

Again, it all depends on that person's culture and beliefs.

Sadly, not everyone is as free-thinking as u and I r :)

it is somehow weird.. but then really depends on people's individuality and character. you cant change all.

hmm...i know what you mean...sometimes people find it odd to talk to people who are older....

I wanna say a lot abt this, but i dun have tym...
time changes a lot of things, and i could probably state mnay mnay reasons for him not wanting to approach you, one of which may be the stereotypes of the society...u might be able to judge better coz u have all the factors b4 ur eyes(presuming that ull take care of most of them,u'll be the better judge).
Talking too much might mean that one talks half-sense..but thats again- just a generalisation for the majority and one must never abide by it although we can be guided by it(so that we can take al d factors in our consideration)

That made a lot of sense. I can associate with what you've written down, and well, I have come to believe that one must keep oneself strong, no matter how people treat you, one must believe that there is Love alive in them.

As Batman says in "The Dark Knight" :

"Sometimes, truth isn't good enough, Sometimes people deserve more. Sometimes people deserve to have their faith rewarded."

This faith that people keep, it is our ultimate strength.

@ hemanth and @ saranya
since u agree upon 1 point

yes you have put up really gud points and I am ready for the argument.
My argument
If people see a girl talking with a boy wat will they feel. they will feel why is this gal like tat and u see even women feel tat way but boy though he is ther no one will feel any thing against him.
and abt my post I wud say only one thing growing is gradual but why do we see sudden changes like tat and wats wrong in talking to a gal like me. I hav never shown tat I am feeling bad wen someone talks to me.but tats embedded in their culture frnd.

Priya Joyce said...

@ selerines;

ye sure I too don't for many things but this is real weird situation we can't really tak in public to any other male tats the real meaning. men trying to supress. and i feel those who r not sure of their strength try to get strength by suppressing others.
yes abt ur posts sure I'll come to** posts.

ye buddy thanx

Priya Joyce said...

@ aneesh;

that's completely true to heart but change is really very slow.

Priya Joyce said...

@ anwesa:

Its not really possible to live in the society and not get affected by it. I just wanted to bring through the point that why is the change in the pattern of people talking to you and not talking to you connected with age.

Priya Joyce said...

@ lena:

of course i can't change all but all has to be changed and I believe I can be an important part of that change.

Priya Joyce said...

@ vishesh;

not people only girls buddy.

Priya Joyce said...

@ ayushi;

I would like to have your points so that I could put up mine.

Priya Joyce said...

Alok:

yes what you said is true that we can be happy only if we really don't care about what's other's opinion but this is not such a thing it feels like we have to remain in purdah and talking to others is just not done.

Priya Joyce said...

@ ranjith:

thanks for the invitation I would surely come.
